It seems like a lot of reviewers like that thick, wide seat, but unfortunately I'm not one of them. This seat is slightly wider than my standard seat and slightly thicker. I chose this seat because of the price and the memory foam padding. I have so many things made with memory foam and I love it. Then, after buying it and trying it on, something went wrong with the so-called memory foam seat. Do not get me wrong. It seems comfortable, but I wanted the comfort of the memory foam, and I know that memory foam is slow to rise after compression, but it didn't. Works like standard foam. I went back and slowly read the information on the website and saw the words high density sponge material. Yes? I took it to a bike shop and they showed me a seat with several different layers of foam including memory foam which was the top layer and slowly decompressed after I sat on it. I was told the seat I have does not have memory foam in it. So I'm going back and sticking with my shock absorber for now.
