Indispensable when you need to remove seals or clean delicate surfaces. These plastic chisels are made of hard and sharp plastic. Much harder than a butter knife, for example. Actually, there should be several different mixtures (softer/harder) for different tasks. Would definitely pass one of these on to a newbie for cleaning gaskets on small engine aluminum cases/covers that a newbie can scratch or ruin the finish. These are less likely. They seem to scratch the paint if you're not careful, but they're a good start. Worth buying and keeping for a day when you need them. Good quality.
