I like the quality of the carpet. It’s soft and muffled the sound of footsteps.The bad: it has adhesive strips pre stuck to the back. It sticks like CRAZY to the steps, but not very well to the carpet. The problem with the adhesive is that it’s nearly impossible to remove from the steps. You will destroy any wood finish trying to. Don’t even think about using these adhesive strips on wood if you’re not sure that you want the steps covered in something forever.After installing several of these, I changed my mind because the pattern clashed with my foyer rug. Removing the adhesive is a nightmare. Fortunately I have high quality vinyl flooring, and the strong solvent I’m using isn’t destroying the finish. It is however taking forever. I Replacing these with a different brand of treads that have a slip resistant backing.
