Review on 🐦 K&H Pet Products Thermo-Perch - Heated Bird Perch in Small Gray by Alyssa Grinager

It's a really good product. Even if it has its ups and downs. Below: My cockatiel has never encountered plastic bars, so has no experience balancing/sitting on plastic bars, so he loses balance and falls while preening and doing various acrobatic poses. I'm not sure how to explain this to my bird as he's too busy nibbling on the manual while I write this review. On: It is heating up to an acceptable heat level. I saw other comments that they had malfunctioned and overheated. So I decided to test it before putting it in the cage. I let it warm up for 3 hours and since I don't have a heat radar I used the inside of my forearm and also tucked it under my armpit to see if any part of it would burn my own skin in those sensitive areas before I let my bird access have to. In terms of plasticity and balance when brushing, I decided to wrap some twine/thread to create a more rope-like surface as my cockatiel is more experienced sitting on ropes and wooden poles. This is an electrical device and should be checked regularly by pet owners to ensure it is working properly and heating evenly. After minor adjustments, my cockatiel seems more stable. Different birds behave differently. Perhaps other bird owners shouldn't have this problem.
