Review on 🚗 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: High Performance, Guaranteed Horsepower Boost: Compatible with 2007-2010 FORD (Edge) 77-2574KS by Mike Campbell

Bought 6 months ago and very impressed with the results. I bought this looking for a modest 1-2mpg increase and the results have been great. I drove from 14-18 city to 19-21 city and from 23-25 highway to 25-29 (32 max in one trip!). It took about 2 hours to complete the installation. The only downside with installation was the rubber grommet (around the black grommet sheet) which kept coming loose at one corner, but with enough work it stayed in place. Difficulty rating from 1 (oil change) to 10 (complete engine and transmission overhaul), I would give this a 2 at most. The intake is very clearly louder. It sounds more like a high-pitched "stock car" roar than a low-pitched diesel roar, but there's nothing to complain about here. I've driven about 8000 miles since installing it and will probably clean the filter for the first time this weekend. As for the horsepower gain, it may show up as an increase in fuel consumption per gallon, but the 3% increase (295 hp vs. 285 hp) at high rpm is imperceptible to me. In general I am very satisfied, I will buy K&N CAI for my future cars.
