Every time I buy a replacement Black & Decker battery from Powerextra I have no problems but I have contacted another company twice and BOTH times I have had problems with the battery working not for my B&D devices. I have a B&D grass eater, blower and drill bit. I usually keep 2 or 3 batteries on hand to ensure I have enough power to get the job done (usually enough to weed my yard, trim my driveway and patio, and blow out any concrete stains). Powerextra batteries last about 2 years, after which I have to replace them. The first year they are great! During the second year I begin to notice a deterioration which has always been an inability to hold a charge for several days. If it gets to the point where I have to use a freshly charged battery or it runs out, I swap it out.
