Works well if you know the secret. When I first received this nozzle, I was very upset. It pounded like a jackhammer, leaving horrible wavy, jagged surfaces on the parts. It took a bit of trial and error to finally figure out that I would get very reliable smooth cuts by setting my drill on slow and using basically my entire body weight in the drill. At that moment I was very impressed, the surface quality is almost mirror-smooth, as is usually the case. The only problem I found is the small channels that have to twist and throw away the shavings, sometimes they stick to the aluminum. With steel this may not be a problem, but with aluminum it definitely means that these shavings often have to be removed manually with a finger or a pick. I purchased this tip specifically for beveling 5/8 6061 aluminum on one of the parts we make, we have made several hundred of these pins to date and the tip works like a champ. To be honest, with a hand drill and our special soft jaws, the pin cocking, chamfering, turning, and chamfering the other side all goes so damn fast I'm not entirely sure if you're doing these parts on a manual lathe or router anywhere could bevel as fast as here. Process. Overall I would recommend this product. But if that doesn't work as intended, experiment with drilling pressure and speed.
