Review on Tripp Lite PR20 Supply Output by Christopher Tillman
Broke right after the warranty expired.
I used this PS to power a Yaesu FT-857 a few weeks ago (about 14 months). Now every time you turn it on it blows the internal 20 amp fuse. The tech said it was a diode/rectifier and shouldn't be repaired. I could have bought a much cheaper Chinese PS but I went with this one because I expected it to last at least 20 years. I have a 30 year old 20 amp Radio Shack PSU and at least 5 other PSUs that are over 10 years old. This is the first linear power supply that let me down. Now the radio works fine on a $30 Chinese switch.
