I had a Scumbuster 450 with a built in non-replaceable nickel cadmium battery that had to be plugged in when it ran out. It worked well, but battery life was limited, requiring hours of mains charging when the power went out. After many years the battery was finally dead. I have this 400 model that uses B&D Versapack replacement batteries. Similar to the same device except for the greater convenience of swappable batteries. I also have a couple of Metapro High Capacity NiMH batteries and they make the 400 more powerful and longer lasting than the 450. The Metapro batteries also work better than the silver Versapack battery that comes with this unit which isn't bad but more power is better . , Right? My old 450 had a nice car with a lot of accessories that the 400 doesn't have, which was fine because I didn't need all the extra parts. But this 400 comes with a good basic set of accessories. It was the perfect replacement for the main unit. It was NIB, arrived quickly, in excellent condition and very reasonably priced. Very happy with it. It's an improvement over the great cleanser I've relied on for decades. Many Thanks.
