Review on Titanium Combo 10-32NC 10-24NC 12-24NC by Joel Miranda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Broke on first serious use.

tl;dr: Suitable for aluminum but not for ferrous metals. Simply drill a test hole in 1/8 inch thick aluminum plate with a #10-32 drill/tap. The thread came out fine, so I set about the main task: drilling and tapping an identical hole in a stainless steel (304) plate. I used a titanium coated step drill bit and Tap Magic to drill the hole and started cutting it with a battery powered hand drill. However, this was beyond the capabilities of this small crane, as it soon cracked and shattered into pieces of metal.

Pros
  • HAND TOOLS - These drill bits are essential when you're producing a lot; You can use aluminum, plastic, etc. They are sharp and easy to use; Go slow, once the faucet has done its job make sure the threads haven't broken by lowering it to the floor.
Cons
  • Expensive
