Review on 🍳 ExcelSteel Stainless Steel 2-Cup Egg Poacher, 530, 5-Inch by Ashton Dahmer

Good price - kitchen and dining room

I am happy with my purchase because this poacher worked as expected. The handle of the pan was warm but not hot. You'll definitely need an oven mitt to handle the lid as it gets hot, but as another reviewer pointed out, cook in a pan on the stove. Expect to use a pot holder or oven mitt. The instructions that came with my pan said to use cooking spray or oil in non-stick cups. The instructions also say to cook for 2-4 minutes until desired doneness is reached. I love fried eggs, and if like me you live at higher elevations, you know it's going to take longer. I had no problem getting eggs from this poacher. They weren't sticky at all and were delicious. When I bought this I knew I would hand wash them as egg cups don't stick. I don't know how they can be washed in the dishwasher. In any case, the instructions that came with me say nothing about the dishwasher safety. Instead, we recommend using hot, soapy water and a sponge or kitchen towel. I also have hard water, so I followed another reviewer's advice on using vinegar. A bit of it loosened the mineral deposits after cooking and made it shine again. Still, it was easy to clean. I love this product and would buy it again. I'm only giving it four stars because of the inconsistency between the Revain product description and the included dishwashing and hand washing instructions. (See photo for instructions. They look wrinkled and wet because I accidentally spilled water on them.)
