Review on Gates 23930 Fuel Fill Hose by Ben Duncan

I bought this for my classic Beetle which uses a 48mm inlet hose. It would have worked if the hose wasn't so rigid that it wouldn't go over the sides of the filler neck and tank. The stiffening wire in the hose prevents kinking very well, but also keeps the diameter almost absolutely fixed. I can't imagine this hose stretching more than a millimeter or so, much less than what the hose requires.
