I have never had a whiteside beat that has disappointed me. The quality is top-notch, outperforming most competing brands, but the price is surprisingly low. That's probably overkill for an amateur, but for the price, why not! Over the years I've bought Whiteside whenever I can find a store that sells them (when I need them badly) or order them online (when I can afford to wait).
