It's compact and easy to put in the bag that comes with it, which I really like. The guard does not grip the cut product well and often leaves the vegetables on the slicer. Cuts onions and carrots well. Two straws are good for carrots, but not big enough for potatoes. The grater is a fine grater and doesn't work well with softer cheeses like Monterey Jack or mozzarella. I'll use it for carrots, onions, and hard cheeses, but I need to find a more powerful mandolin for potatoes and a metal cheese grater.
