This battery could be could be a real solution to a nasty problem. That problem is that B&D no longer makes the GOLD batteries. This battery can be charged in any of the normal R&D charger with NO problem in over charging. It is also cheaper then most of the available batteries. It also has long life. The problem is that it seems to have an electronic chip in it to prevent over charging which gives it a polorization. The chip seems to polorize the battery so that the B&D device must be manufactured to match the new battery's polorization. This works great for most flashlights (but not all of them). As for strong performance on motorized drills, the jury is out. The original batteries supported HIGH tork but this one may not. This polorization also effects the new LED bulbs for this type of flash lights. If the LED bulb works in your existing B&D flash light then this battery should work well.
