Review on KYB KG54103 Gas-a-Just Gas Shock: High-Performance Dampening for Enhanced Ride Quality by Zachary Jackson

I don't know why you read that these shocks are too hard and produce a rough ride. I've used this on a 2004 diesel Dodge and the ride is the same as the factory shocks, no better or worse of course other than the added wobble of the old worn out factory shocks, so I don't see it as a performance boost as stated on the kib website. I would probably choose OEMs next time just because the mounting hardware isn't out of the box. Top mount bushings and spacer are not thick enough. The nut reached the end of the thread and barely removed all of the free play, giving you a rattle on hard hits. I had to add a washer under the nut so I could tighten it.
