I bought it to use as a mouthwash timer which comes with a one minute instruction sheet. This also works for timing tooth brushing or determining how long a shower lasts. The timer counts up or down and is quick and easy to set up, and the quieter alarm is loud enough for me. Five star performance but I took one down because it had the words "kitchen timer" on it which wasn't in the picture (and I use them in the bathroom) and because it would have been useful to have tape on the back for attaching Possibility. It came with a AAA battery, hand and neck straps, and a retractable stand, but I didn't want it taking up space in my first-aid kit. I pulled out the shelf, put the wrist strap on the timer, put the timer under the shelf, pulled the strap on the shelf, pushed the shelf back and the shelf holds the light timer by the strap under the shelf. as it is taped to the back of the cabinet. The strap sits higher on the shelf but takes up less shelf space than the timer, and the timer isn't visible when I close the closet door. Great timer and no more counting to 60!
