I recently replaced the original factory magneto on my 2012 club car with this one. The first 2 weeks worked fine and the problem with unsuccessful starts was fixed immediately. I drove my golf cart around the hotel grounds last weekend and drove more than 5 minutes at a time. When I stopped for a minute and tried to restart, the solenoid would not close the contacts. I checked with a multimeter and although the coil is energized it doesn't close the contactor and doesn't pass voltage to the starter. I let the device cool down for 10 minutes and it worked again. Driven again for about 5 minutes and got the same result with overheating. When I let it cool down it worked again. You can click on the side of the solenoid and it suddenly snaps into place.
