If you are expecting a product made in China you may be disappointed; My hat was made in the USA. I was warned that Toyota is notoriously gas gap sensitive and that only genuine parts should be used. But Gates is a very reputable manufacturer of rubber parts and likely makes the hoses and accessory straps that your mechanic uses. So when I repeatedly got code 442 (minor evaporator leak) and the "petroleum jelly on rubber seal trick" didn't work, I decided this cap was worth a try.
