One person wrote back saying they didn't stay and I think I know why. Feathers act like caps on sweatshirt cords. Most people who don't know how to sew have never worn one of these hats over the drawstrings of a hoodie, so they've never had to deal with how the hats look before putting them on. They are very similar to these end caps - the top is raised over the bottom layer. On these end caps they go so far that there are 2 layers of holes and pins go in and out easily - they don't hold pins. But if you press down the top end until there is only ONE hole left and put the pins in and then release, get a nice hole. tight fit on the needle! A small heart fits on a size 8 needle; the big one goes to about 11. I think you're on your own after that, but to be honest the cord is so thinner than the needle after that that if you thread the yarn over the cord and make a half loop (the first loop of a square or granny knot) in cord, your cord will most likely still stand. I find Addi-To_Go clips most useful on super slick chrome needles like the Addi Clicks, which are so easy to drop stitches in - even if you press them against the cord and tie a half loop, you'll likely lose a few if you to travel. Having said that, the only sure way I've found is a full square knot, and I'm not sure what that does to addi click lines in the long run - my kit is new.
