Aside from the terrible packaging that others have repeatedly mentioned, I was expecting a decent 5-star option at a premium price. I use a 6" Oshlun Dado blade set and they work pretty well. With only the slightest discernible difference between the cuts of each blade. I wanted an even smoother finished cut when I had to upgrade to an 8" set. so I looked at Freud and just proceeded with branding the name. Long story short, the packaging was truly awful, torn on arrival (seriously, Freud?) and the cuts from the full stack left individual channels which the Oshlun 6" set outperformed. I wanted to love this set and paid twice as much for it but this turned out to be the quality of the cut was lower. Maybe I just got a rare bad set but that was disappointing. Came back and bought Oshlun 8" at half price.
