Used this to drill out a lock that broke 2 other carbide bits just bought at a local hardware store. The first two bits that came from the hardware store each went about 1/6 inch into the lock before they dulled and stopped cutting, although I was careful to buy the ones that were hardened and rated for cutting steel . THIS bat completely destroyed the castle. and I was able to go through the entire lock cylinder within 30-40 seconds of cutting, it still feels sharp and still has plenty of cutting life. Excellent purchase.
