Pretty good, but far from perfect. Channellock should spend a few minutes polishing them!

They were delivered yesterday. I like the fact that the teeth on the jaws are nice and sharp. It's good to have rubber on the handles. The various jaw release positions worked smoothly, the pliers opened/closed smoothly. They are even "Made in the USA"! But some things put me off. I know it's hard to compete with China and that probably means the assembly line for them is very fast. But that's not really a reason to leave a few imperfections in the finish that you don't typically see on Craftsman tools, for example. My pliers had several small, sharp "nicks" (for lack of a better word) in the metal that could pinch your fingers (and cut you!) or rip your clothes. These should be cut down. The side-to-side movement of the handles was tight enough, but by no means precise. There must have been rubbish in there. Also, the jaws are ground at different widths - they fit together perfectly on one side, but one is larger (wider) than the other when looking at the pliers head-on. None of these shortcomings, alone or together, will detract from its usefulness. Tongs. I will keep and use them. But I'm a little disappointed in the lack of attention, especially when these details could have been so easily repaired at the end of the production line before being sealed in a plastic mailing envelope with pliers. So pretty good, but not as good as a pair of Craftsmans my dad bought decades ago.
