Poor quality control

Although it looks great I sent it back due to poor quality - unfortunately at my own expense. Around the hole was a harsh and unsightly silvery color. At first I thought it was a used sink with remnants of sanitary putty. Looking again, I saw the silvery sheen of the rough material. According to Kraus, this is normal. I think it's defective, it might leak, it should be clean like the other sink I ordered (from another Decolav manufacturer). The paint didn't fully cover the outside either. There was an oval section about 3/8 inch extending from the bottom hole that was bare except for silver. According to Kraus, it should have been covered with a mounting ring and is therefore not a defect. In addition, the exterior paint was not as smooth as in the photo, there are numerous airborne dirt particles protruding from the surface covered from the outside by the blue paint, even with careful cleaning, the paint could detach from these protruding granular particles. I have sent photos for your information. I chose this sink because of the Kraus lifetime warranty and reputation - but obviously they don't exist. Kraus had marginally poor quality control. These shortcomings were pretty obvious. Return shipping is expensive, so buy at your own risk.
