Review on 🔧 LORD HODGE 1074 4 Grommet Refill Kit by Kevin Woods

Worked great. I bought a kit with a punch and nozzle and these interchangeable nozzles. I bought a couple of packs of grommets from another store and they were so sharp on the edges that when you put them on they just cut through the tarp leaving a big hole. They are not rounded at the edges but are smooth enough not to cut through the tarpaulin. Some have complained about the cutter, but the file is fast enough and sharp enough. Not sure why some can't get him to punch a hole. Just put a 2 x 6 under a tarp and hit the cutter with a hammer and it'll cut nice and clean. The configuration tool works perfectly. You have to hit it hard to install it. Press several times and see if the washer spins. If so, just click once or twice. I've just ordered another replacement filler as I've used up all the ones I bought to make a custom cover for my Hobie Pro Angler 14. I took a 12 x 16 canvas, folded it in half and creased the cones on either end to conform to the shape of the kayak .and inserted grommets each foot or so. The tarpaulin has a thickness of 4 layers on the cones. In some places where the original edge played a role, the grommets went through 6-8 layers of tarpaulin. This is not a problem with a polyethylene tarpaulin. I now have a double thickness tarp that fits perfectly and closes easily. Saved a lot of money by not buying a branded lid and not having grommets for other projects.
