I was very disappointed with this product and returned it immediately. On the second day of carving, my fiance noticed a small chip in the planing tool. I was upset but figured I'd get over it and keep using it. A few minutes later I discovered that a larger chip had come out of the tool and was lodged in the wood I had cut. This is unacceptable for a wood carving tool. Sure, my wood has a pretty whimsical texture, but that still shouldn't happen with a tool designed specifically for wood removal. In my case, the tool actually removed the tree.
