Review on πŸ”ͺ BOSCH RCB8DG 8-Inch Diamond Grit TPI Reciprocating Saw Blade - Ideal for Cutting Cast Iron and Block by Ashwin Chauhan

Works, but it's an expensive way to cut a block.

There's probably no more expensive way to cut concrete blocks or hardened concrete, but it works. In my situation I had to widen the bypass hole to make getting in and out and moving tools/materials a little easier. Cutting through hardened concrete with this blade is slow and wears out the blade fairly quickly, but there's still some life in it after a few cuts and I think I can probably cut through another brick or two before the blade roasts. There are areas that just can't be cut with a concrete saw, a 7" grinding wheel or a 4 1/2" angle grinder, in which case this wheel is required. I've used a grinding wheel on an angle grinder whenever possible - this is by far the easiest method. For longer, straighter cuts, I used a 7" circular saw blade (the big concrete saw was too big to fit in the tight space). I also used an air chisel to remove many of the larger pieces. Cutting the sides was not possible with an angle grinder or larger saw and an air chisel would have made a mess. However, this worked and got the job done. All in all - my recommendation is if you can make the cuts another way, try this out. An angle grinder and air chisel are your best bet, and if you have long, shallow cuts a 7 inch blade one will work old or custom-made concrete circular saw well. But in tight corners and places where these tools won't work, this blade might just be what you need.
