Not for concrete Best in Reciprocating Saw Blades

Tried to cut concrete with this but it didn't work. It took about 25 minutes to cut 5 inches long and 1.5 inches deep. A stone circular saw is much more efficient and cheaper.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Modern

Lots of roots, still works

Used to trim shallow roots when digging a drainage ditch. Slowly, but he kept moving, pulling out roots up to 3 inches. It doesn't overheat or break, but it still cuts.

  • Hands Free
Cons
  • So far so good

Did the job well in saws, parts and supplies

Had to redo the plumbing in the bathroom of a 75 year old house. I didn't have time to play around as the job had to be done in two days. Cut through a 4-inch cast iron pipe in about two minutes.

Worst Blades Ever

Tries to cut cast iron sewer pipes. If I continued to use these blades, it would take an hour. Almost cut a pipe. Very disappointed with the performance of the blades, especially for the price paid for them.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Available in white only

Right on the cinder block

When building a fire pit out of a cinder block, I couldn't find all the normal blocks like I could before all the quarantines. I used the blade to create the missing blocks. The blade still worked great after I cut the 6 blocks I needed.

Meets my expectations

I read the reviews before buying this blade. I also bought the same Lenox diamond blade as a backup. I used this Bosch to cut an underground cast iron cake for my basement bathroom project. I attached this Bosch diamond blade to a DeWalt reciprocating saw. I didn't use much cutting power and only used half the speed of the saw. It took me about 2-3 minutes to cut a 3 inch cross section. I cut the 3" and 2" cross sections twice without water. After 4 cuts I believe the blade is still needed and…

Bought to cut a cast iron drain pipe

I was doing some plumbing and needed to cut my 4 or 5 1920's cast drain pipes so I could insert a rubber boot and connect to PVC. . In short, it served its purpose. There are several options for cutting pipe, some easier or cheaper than others. Blades like these can be quite expensive but a deal for 20 was ok. Someone mentioned using a grinder and if you have a diamond blade for that and it's cheaper that seems reasonable. I only had a cheap $30 RF reciprocating saw when I did this and it…

Works, but it's an expensive way to cut a block.

There's probably no more expensive way to cut concrete blocks or hardened concrete, but it works. In my situation I had to widen the bypass hole to make getting in and out and moving tools/materials a little easier. Cutting through hardened concrete with this blade is slow and wears out the blade fairly quickly, but there's still some life in it after a few cuts and I think I can probably cut through another brick or two before the blade roasts. There are areas that just can't be cut with a…
