Review on 🔌 SHNITPWR 12V 5A Power Supply Adapter: Perfect for 5050 3528 LED Strip Lights, 3D Printers, CCTV Security Systems, and LCD Monitors by Dave Wolf

Used garden lighting refill (with internal power supply). I think I could have 35W on each of the two devices. They don't seem to get hot at this level and are good value for money. They worked for a few months, maybe 8 hours a day. They have a handy little barrel connector that detaches like a regular 12V handheld, but on one of them that connector didn't have enough surface area or possibly pressure at the contact point and a hot spot developed so the connector held. open circuit (light dims or goes out). I eventually found that it was starting to melt and just cut it off and used the 2 leads for a permanent connection and everything is fine again (you can always unplug the 120v side of the black box if you have a second option wish to deactivate). I would buy it again but just wanted to let you know that a small barrel connection can cause more trouble than it's worth and can reduce the performance of your devices. If you have a similar problem, most likely the problem is not in the power supply, but in this connector. Easy to fix.
