Part of my 2008 Prius buy and repair saga

When checking all the maintenance items on a new car in a family, the air filter is always at the top of the list. Engines use HUGE amounts of air, and only getting clean air into the combustion chambers helps prevent wear and tear on all of these fast-moving parts. This is one of those "pay me now or pay me later" things that regularly make financial sense.
