Cut through foundation.
I used it with a drill to cut through a foundation. I used a 2" x 4" jig to stabilize the core bit until it cut a grove into the foundation and it drilled smoothly, with the long barrel it also drilled straight through. I used some liquid soap to help reduce friction as it cut through several layers of brick, concrete, and masonry.The core barrel did jam with hard brick pieces which I expected. I had a metal rebar piece that effectively punched these pieces out and resumed drilling.
- We’ve been using these core bitsin several sizes for the past year orso and no problems at all .
- May cause excessive dust and debris during drilling, requiring additional cleanup efforts
