Cut through foundation.

I used it with a drill to cut through a foundation. I used a 2" x 4" jig to stabilize the core bit until it cut a grove into the foundation and it drilled smoothly, with the long barrel it also drilled straight through. I used some liquid soap to help reduce friction as it cut through several layers of brick, concrete, and masonry.The core barrel did jam with hard brick pieces which I expected. I had a metal rebar piece that effectively punched these pieces out and resumed drilling.

Pros

We’ve been using these core bitsin several sizes for the past year orso and no problems at all .

Cons

May cause excessive dust and debris during drilling, requiring additional cleanup efforts
