Went through 8 inches of granite.

I Needed to drill through 8 inches of a granite stone for a 1 inch pipe. I kept cold water on during the drilling and the bit stayed nice and cool. It took some time ( about 40-45 minutes ) I bought an adapter to use with my drill but the threads were not long enough for the bit ( the Threads don't start at the top so 1 star deduction for that ). Luckily I also have a cordless Milwaukee grinder that fit perfectly. The grinder worked great and I was able to put a lot of pressure on it too…

Pros
  • Excelente
Cons
  • Segment height may not be suitable for all drilling applications

Impressive core drill bit.

Had doubts ordering a Core Bit from amazon. However it worked fine for heavily rock fill concrete and deck pan. 5 inch core no problem didn't phase the bit only scratched the paint a little. Solid long lasting bit appears! Used an adapter for a SDS plus arbor and it turn it fine through the floor we drilled a sleeve through.

Pros
  • Does not come with fitting to connect to drill
Cons
  • Requires additional equipment, such as a drilling rig and water supply, which can increase overall costs

Cut through foundation.

I used it with a drill to cut through a foundation. I used a 2" x 4" jig to stabilize the core bit until it cut a grove into the foundation and it drilled smoothly, with the long barrel it also drilled straight through. I used some liquid soap to help reduce friction as it cut through several layers of brick, concrete, and masonry. The core barrel did jam with hard brick pieces which I expected. I had a metal rebar piece that effectively punched these pieces out and resumed drilling.

Pros
  • We’ve been using these core bitsin several sizes for the past year orso and no problems at all .
Cons
  • May cause excessive dust and debris during drilling, requiring additional cleanup efforts

Bored thru poured cement, firebrick, & concrete block

It worked, running it carefully with a heavy-duty 1/2" drill. Used water when I could to keep things cool, but some of the hole was bored thru concrete block, which was easy boring but not easy to keep wet without a hose on it. Bored that part of the hole "dry". Bought the expensive drill adapter and had no problems with that. Probably worth the money, guessing by reading the different adapter reviews. Be careful, there's a lot of force & torque on the drill & adapter. Let the tool do the work…

Pros
  • great tool at a good price. Arrived quicker than I expected. I will buy again.
Cons
  • Can be affected by water quality or hardness, reducing the lifespan of the drill bits

Great product - my new review

Drilled couple holes into 4 inch exposed aggregate concrete and it worked like a charm,Not that easy to handle, it’s big and little awkward with a large right angle drill but did not take long to get it under control.Do your self a favor and buy a matching wood hole saw bit and make yourself a templet out of a 2x6, it makes it 10x easier.Great products imoAlso supplier did nice follow up on products as well.

Pros
  • good value for cost, worked well in non-reinforced concrete
Cons
  • Arbor size may not be compatible with all drilling rigs and equipment

Worked great for 3.5 inch thick pool deck

The customer post that recommended using a 1x4 or similar as a guide was the key. It kept the core drill from wandering during the start of the hole. It drilled two holes around my old diving board anchor bolts in 3.5 inch concrete without wearing out. I'm not sure how much more it has in it, but if I ever need it again it will still perform.

Pros
  • Can be used in a variety of applications including plumbing, electrical, and construction
Cons
  • May require frequent sharpening or replacement of segments to remain effective

Did the job for my opinion

Drilled through 20" thick Pennsylvania ironstone wall for sewer line. Used plenty of water but the grit on the bit is almost gone.It was a tough job and worth the cost.It would probably really hold up well for standard thickness concrete.

Pros
  • Did the job I needed to do. 17 1/2 X 2 inch hole in solid granet. Hell yea !!!!!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to control during drilling, increasing the risk of mistakes or accidents

Did the job! - my new review

First time working with such large bit. Heavy and durable. Make sure you ready for task ( I use cbd cream for my knees and elbows)) Otherwise you’ll suffer soaring!

Pros
  • Easy to maintain and clean after use
Cons
  • Can be difficult to achieve consistent and precise results on irregular surfaces

Cuts through stone like a hot knive into butter.

Product worked great, for a fraction of a core drill rental I was able to use my 30 year old mid size makita drill to drill 24inch core into a stone wall to cement black fence poles in place. Fabulous deal!

Pros
  • Worked great
Cons
  • May not be effective for drilling through very hard or thick concrete or masonry materials

Bad quality. - my new review

This core bit went bad only after first 4” deep hole into concrete with no rebars of course I used water. Ended up buying new core bit locally. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Provides clean and precise holes with minimal debris
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of drilling rigs or equipment

Worked great! for my opinion

Worked great, used with Hilton core bit drill, screwed right in. No issues at all! Can be affected by changes in surface texture or condition during drilling.

Pros
  • Impressive cutting speed means faster project completion times
Cons
  • Can be affected by changes in surface texture or condition during drilling

High quality: my feedback

I drilled 48 holes through 6” of rebar reinforced concrete with one bit. There is only 10-15% left on the bit but it took a lot of abuse. Good quality, will buy again.

Pros
  • It’s rust and corrosion-resistant
Cons
  • Can be affected by changes in altitude or elevation during use

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Slow cutting on my review.

The bit is long lasting but very slow cutting. It was taking me 22 minutes to drill through 2" of terra cotta, I drilled 31 holes over 2 days. The husqvarna and hilti bits blow it away.

Pros
  • High-quality construction ensures long-lasting durability
Cons
  • May not be suitable for overhead drilling or in conditions with limited visibility

no problem drilling through solid limestone

I'm planning on using some of the native limestone on my property to make a water feature that looks like a natural spring. I used this bit to bore through one that was about 8" thick and then chisel around it for practice before I work on the one I will install permanently. Driven with a Bosch SDS Plus hammer drill through a 5/8-11 arbor, I had no trouble going through it in 10-15 minutes. I did take it slow and kept a hose on it the whole time. You can see in the picture that the bit made a…

Pros
  • Suitable for both professional and DIY projects
Cons
  • Can be difficult to achieve consistent results when drilling through multiple layers or materials

It's durable and chews cinderblocks with ease

I thought I might have to get a hammer drill, but as I was getting it going with a simple battery-powered drill that's not made for anything like this, it was making real progress. So I just kept going -- pausing to wet the bit and to squirt some water into the hole. It cut through two cinderblocks no problem in about 20 minutes. I was really impressed. It didn't hang up at all.

Pros
  • This is the place I go to Buy my bits from here on out
Cons
  • May cause damage to the surface being drilled if not used properly or carefully

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Held up good with little water.

Worked nice going through 4” thick concrete. Drilling can be slow and time-consuming, reducing efficiency on larger projects. Sprayed soap water to cool it down, since I was cutting up through a floor.

Pros
  • Shipped fast , works as it should.
Cons
  • Drilling can be slow and time-consuming, reducing efficiency on larger projects

we will know how this product works.

Just received the package,.I just don't know why the delivery guy had to drive his truck to my asphalt driveway to make a U-turn, by doing that left his tire scraped some of the asphalt off which messed up my New Driveway,.he could just carry the package,.UPS guy is lazy.

Pros
  • Can be used with a wide range of coolants and lubricants
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in confined or enclosed spaces without adequate ventilation

Can be used for Kool Deck to drill into safely.

We have been using this for our business the past few years and it is consistent.we were told on average, we could get about (10) uses from it, but we use it about 20x and then replace.

Pros
  • Cannot unscrew fr the grinder I used as a drill tool but the bit performed well and I got the job done.
Cons
  • May require specialized training or experience to use effectively

Keep it sharp! for my opinion

I now own 4 different sizes of these core bits. I am using them to core through rock, so I am really putting them through the paces. So far, they have performed very well. However, and I'm not surprised, one of them stopped cutting. I found that taking a bastard file to it, I once again had a perfectly performing bit. So, keep a heavy file handy!

Pros
  • Masonry Core Drill Bits
Cons
  • May require multiple passes or angles to achieve desired results

Outstanding purchase!

Worked awesome!. I drilled one hole through an 8” thick retaining wall and the other hole through 12” thick retaining wall. I would highly recommend this drill.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in areas without a reliable and consistent water supply
