I just got back into figure skating and wanted skates but didn't want to spend a lot on my first pair if I decided they weren't for me anymore. I bought them about 3 weeks ago and have been to the rink twice. Not only am I enjoying it, I'm really impressed with the quality at this price point. I'll say I'm no expert, but I expected to at least have to upgrade the bearings and wheels. The only upgrade I made was the pillows. I'm leaning towards around 250 pounds these days and the factory upholstery just didn't match. The trucks must have worked loose no matter how tight I tightened them. I saved some purple and red Sure Grip barrels and cones. I've experimented with different color combinations until I find what works for me, I've only had one night on these pillows but I'm satisfied. After this change these skates are perfect and I will keep them for a while.
