Review on Sunhokey Extruder Aluminum Compatible Creality by Ken Coste

The thing tears itself apart

You should be prepared for this thing to self-destruct in less than a week if you run it at a reasonable speed, with a reasonable retract setting, or with something like linear advance in Marlin (what should you do to it to get accuracy in your prints and reduce bleed). The reason for this is that the secondary gear that sits on the intermediate arm does not have a bushing between it and the arm housing. It bites into the soft aluminum of the hand and produces a lot of metal powder and eventually stops working. Spend a little more money on Bondtech - even a clone. If you're looking for more grip and control, these extruders also feature a 3:1 gear ratio for better torque and control.

Pros
  • ✔️For 1.75 mm thread. This kit does not include stepper motor and instruction manual, we need DIY.
Cons
  • Something Else
