Review on πŸ”’ 527D Adjustable Shackle by Master Lock - 2 inch Wide, Black - Enhancing Security and Convenience by Raymond Simmons

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Light. Not in a good way.

The lock is very light. The body is encased in a plastic casing and it's unclear how durable it will be. The temple is definitely aluminum, I don't know why I was hoping for the body to be aluminum and the bracket steel, but it is. (Edit: The packaging says the shackle is steel. It seems very light. But I'm not here to say the packaging is wrong.) ... but when the lock seems fragile, it wakes not much trust. As mentioned before, getting the key in the lock is a bit difficult when the shackle is in a lower position. I think if the neutral position of the lock was rotated 90 degrees (the key is perpendicular to the shackle, not parallel) it would be easier to use. But I don't think this kind of tumbler could work like that. for low security requirements. Maybe a bit more expensive due to its questionable durability.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
