I installed this remote on a fairly new, (less than 2 years old), Hunter brand ceiling fan in my baby nursery. Every time the light switch is turned on, the receiver unit beeps very loudly. My 2-year-old would mock it, saying "BEEEEEPPP!" every time he heard it. Press any button on the remote, "BEEEEEPPP!". but ONLY if the remote is about 3 inches away from the receiver. otherwise the remote is useless. The instructions indicate the remote will not work if the antenna wire is tucked into the fan shroud/cover. That doesn't matter because the remote does not work unless you are standing on a ladder holding it about 3 inches away. I have returned the product for a refund.
