Great cable modem that eliminates the cable company's monthly rent. Ability to download at speeds up to 686MB. Has lots of status indicators on the front so you know what's happening. Can log into the device to determine packet loss, errors, and connection status. This is a simple modem that does its job well. If you pay monthly to Comcast, WOW!, Xfinity or any other company, then this is the device for you. Easy setup. Simply screw the coaxial cable into the coaxial connector, connect the LAN cable to the router and plug in the power cord. Then call your cable company and say you bought your own modem. They will ask you to enter the MAC identification number on the bottom of the modem and then let it work on their network. That's it and you're good to go.
