My old liftmaster recently crapped out, and after ordering a logic board to replace the busted one only to have it fail again a month later, I decided to just replace the whole opener.I was somewhat intimidated going in, never having installed an opener before, but the folks at Genie were expecting that. All the parts were separated in color coded bags and the whole set of instructions is printed on a giant piece of paper, so you can just set it down on the ground for reference and not have to turn any pages what so ever. I had the old opener remoted and the Genie installed IN UNDER 2 HOURS, and I was expecting it to be a whole day affair.Everything worked, and the movement is whisper quiet. The only thing I can hear is the whisper of the motor and the clanking of the metal wheels in the track, and that is it. The Liftmaster could be heard from across the house as soon as it activated.I am so glad I bought this that I got another to replace the other Liftmaster that has not even broken yet.
