I replaced an older Genie opener with the 750, primarily because I wanted battery backup. Installation was straightforward, and the instructions are color coded, and concise. As long as you follow them point by point, you won't have a problem. The rail is slightly shorter than the one it replaced, so I had to make a an adjustment (added structural blocking in the attic), but that didn't add much time. Total time to install, including taking down the old opener and rail was approximately 3…

Pros
  • open and close garage door
Cons
  • Difficult to install for those who are not experienced with garage door openers

Nice garage door opener, pretty quiet, fairly easy install.

I bought this for a one car garage door that sticks a little, so I wanted a more powerful unit to ensure it was strong enough to lift the door in spite of the stickiness. Anyway, it was a straight forward install, though I did install the lifting mechanism and the overhead rail off center because the door did not have a frame member in its center. The best feature was how he unit is self-calibrating on its first trip up and down as far as setting the strength of the lift and the point at which…

Pros
  • Quiet, smooth, easy install
Cons
  • May vibrate and cause shaking during operation

Quiet, but not enough wire, broken parts

Nice and quiet, took 1 month to get all the parts needed to install it correctly. Wrong parts , broken parts. Tech support was a God send, very friendly and helpfull.

Pros
  • Opener Systems
Cons
  • Not as energy efficient as other garage door opener models

Quietest Garage Door Opener I've Owned

Easy to install, just a little time consuming. Must use sensors that come with opener; can't use pre-existing sensors. The only other downfall is the range on the remotes. I have to be about 15 yards or closer for the door to open. It is very quiet and functions better than the old door opener we had. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a quiet garage for opener.

Pros
  • What a nice opener. Had it up in an hour. Sounds like a belt drive because it’s so quiet. Recommend.
Cons
  • The battery backup is not strong enough to fully open the door if there is a power outage

Nice and quiet for my opinion

Great little opener. The cables/pulleys moving are louder than this opener, on my brand new garage door. I can open my garage door before I enter my long (100' or so) driveway, so it's fully open by the time I reach the garage.

Pros
  • Offers a variety of programming options, including the ability to set automatic closing times or adjust the force settings for optimal performance
Cons
  • Can be difficult to program and reprogram over time

Had this installed for a while now.

No problems but noticed it is a little slow, but quite. I would no have paid extra for the battery back up that came with it. It will open the door but even slower. If the power is out for 2 or 3 days the battery may not have enough power to do the job, as there is a small drain on it running remote receiver all the time. Its much lighter than my old unit and I installed it my self. The end support is small, there is a down force on it when starting the door going up and when closing there is a

Pros
  • Provides superior safety features, such as an automatic reverse mechanism that stops and reverses the door if it encounters an obstruction
Cons
  • Hard to find replacement parts for the battery backup

Best garage opener I have ever owned

My old liftmaster recently crapped out, and after ordering a logic board to replace the busted one only to have it fail again a month later, I decided to just replace the whole opener.I was somewhat intimidated going in, never having installed an opener before, but the folks at Genie were expecting that. All the parts were separated in color coded bags and the whole set of instructions is printed on a giant piece of paper, so you can just set it down on the ground for reference and not have to…

Pros
  • Heavy-duty build ensures long-lasting performance and reliability, reducing the need for frequent repairs or replacements
Cons
  • The wireless keypad can be confusing to use for those who are not technology savvy

System is very friendly with new user. Quieted; Lifted my double garage door slowly w/o problem compare to old one.Tried backup battery with no main power once after 2 days charged and it worked supper slowly w/o a problem. Not sure if this system has feature to hit "Enter" key for the door to close. Tried on keypad couple times, nothing happened !

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • Limited warranty coverage with a short period of time

Great for the money.

I replace the old garage doors openers with this ones. I love how quiet they are, the range of the remote control is fantastic (I have a 175 feet driveway) and I don't have a problem to open or close the doors. My only thing will be that the remote controls bottoms are too flat and is hard to press them while they are on my visor but, if I have them on my hand it's easier to find them without having to turn the lights on inside my vehicle.Overall I'm very happy with them.

Pros
  • Capable of lifting heavy garage doors up to 500 lbs., making it suitable for commercial and industrial settings
Cons
  • The motor may not be powerful enough for larger/heavier garage doors

Don't typically write reviews, but I'm so pleased.

Backstory: I have a very heavy wooden roll up garage door from the 40's. The old springs had lost their tension and it was always struggle to get the door up. Finally one of the springs snapped. I followed online instructions to weigh the door and ordered new springs. Frustrating! The 120lb springs were so weak it was still a struggle to get the door up, and once let go, it would roll partially back down. So I ordered stronger springs, and had the opposite problem! Went up easily, but was hard…

Pros
  • Comes equipped with a powerful 3/4 horsepower motor that delivers consistent performance
Cons
  • The battery backup may fail if not maintained regularly

Good product on my review.

This is a nice garage door opener,My husband had no problems putting it up,Its so quiet I don't even realize It's opening or closing I have to double check sometimes,The remote for car is a bit small,But very Satisfied

Pros
  • Battery backup feature ensures continuous operation even during power outages, providing peace of mind
Cons
  • The chain may become loose and require adjustment over time

Installed this 3/4 hp garage door opener to replace an existing 1/2 hp system that was failing and was no longer allowing me to program remote openers. This chain drive opener has plenty of power for a single 2 car garage door and operates very quietly. I like the battery backup that came with the system which I did not have on the old one, and the pre-programmed remotes and outside opener keypad. If you are installing this system for a new home it probably would be very easy to do with tools…

Pros
  • Replaced our 20 year old genie
Cons
  • The remote control battery needs frequent replacement

More than I expected for the money.

The instructions were as comprehensive as could be. Once installed and wired, this thing is as quiet as can be and works great. Would definitely recommend.

Pros
  • I like the large instructions, they were really easy to follow
Cons
  • The chain drive requires periodic lubrication to maintain optimal performance

The product works flawlessly. The only difficulty was with installation and configuration. The videos and the instructions presuppose an ideal installation, and mine was "somewhat less than ideal."I would suggest that the videos show how to determine if the chain tension is correct. Also, I think hat it would be good to have a video which shows how to set the up and down limits, and how to reset them.I also think that if there are problems with the door before installing the door opener (door…

Pros
  • Reliable and durable chain drive mechanism ensures smooth operation with minimal noise
Cons
  • Attracts dirt and dust easily

3/4 up handles heavy door well. Battery backup feature very nice. Came a everything needed. Decent installation instructions. Seems well made. Recommended. Good price and shipping.

Pros
  • BATTERY BACKUP INCLUDED: An integrated battery backup allows for this Genie garage door opener to be used when the primary power is out. This feature provides up to 50 cycles from the initial power failure. *California Senate Bill 969 Compliant*.Control Method:Remote
Cons
  • Can be difficult to program the wireless keypad to work with the opener

Good buy for money.

Had to replace my craftsman opener that was over 20 years old. This was pretty straightforward. I used the old anchors on the door itself so I didn't remove them. It was about 6 inches shorter than my original, but easily fixed by nailing a cou

Pros
  • Can be easily integrated with smart home devices, allowing for convenient control through your preferred virtual assistant or mobile app
Cons
  • May require professional help to replace the battery backup
