Review on Discontinued Canon EOS 50D DSLR Camera Body for Sale by Avut Bouchen ᠌

The product is definitely not worth the nerves spent, it's better not to take it.

Marketers have made an entry level mirrorless camera (yes, this is the entry level for 150k). The device allows you to touch the "mirrorless" functions, but it is impossible to use it. A kind of "soap box for the rich." In 2 days I almost got used to this camera (Stockholm syndrome), but I wouldn’t take it “forever”: to know in advance that to photograph only sedentary objects and pay 150k for it (without lenses) ?! Moreover, neither the camera (it will not point), nor you (in the finder you will see something that has actually already fled / flown away) will be able to remove fast objects. Not having quick control levers is a "soap box", but why does a soap box cost so much? There is nothing to say about video stabilization - compared to Samsung phones (phones!) It is not here.

Pros
  • - autofocus works according to the picture, that is, he does not need micro focus adjustment, focus immediately hits, if he managed to take a frame at all. - you can put both EF and EF-S lenses, and for the latter, the camera automatically turns on the crop; - silent mode is really silent as in the phone; however, some functions will have to be abandoned (long expo nose reduction, anti flicker shooting and something else); - little noise. Frames on iso4000 are quite working (noisy, but in moderation);
Cons
  • - He cannot take a picture of a running child, he does not have time to track. - No mode change wheel. There are no quick change buttons for drive, iso, wb. The camera of the level of a soap dish in terms of control level and speed of work. - The photo viewing zoom is inconvenient, like on the 6d mark ii - once you enter the zoom, you can't switch to another frame without leaving the zoom, you simply can't go to another frame. - It is impossible to quickly change the shooting mode with the wheel (T, P, Av) - you have to look at the screen. - Upper screen shows little (only current mode, exposure compensation). - the electronic finder is late. It is impossible to shoot a fast moving object (when you see it on the screen, it is actually no longer in the right place). For example, it is impossible to shoot a person in a jump indoors, despite the person jumping past the camera (relatively low lighting); - the circle-rocker is not responsible for anything outside the menu. There are 4 buttons on the circle, but you can't hang quick actions on them (for example, change iso); - Wi-Fi is as virtually non-existent as it is of all other Canons: it is impossible to download photos through it due to the very low speed; - No built-in flash. Since they made a soap dish for the undemanding, it was strange not to make a flash; - lack of a rocking joystick like 5d mark II and all old Canons; - a touch strip that should replace the wheel - another Marketer's find: there is a function, but it's impossible to use it: to change iso through such a pseudo wheel, you need to slowly run your fingers over this strip several times and do it without a glove;
