Great picture but LEDs flicker after running for too long

I really like this microscope. Haven't used it yet for what I got it for, which is circuit board inspection, but while playing I've noticed that the LEDs will blink after being on for a while, despite being connected to a power source. . the shock gets stronger over time and begins to almost pulsate. I'm assuming this is a one off defect as I haven't seen this complaint in any other review.
