Review on πŸ”§ ARES 70040-1/4-Inch Drive Close Quarter Micro Bit Ratchet: High Torque Mini Screwdriver with 72-Tooth Gearhead by Shawn Pollock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price.

I love Topeak Tools. But their baby ratchet is a bit pricey. I needed something thin enough to get into very small areas but still able to hold a hex and ideally a ratchet. I used a quarter inch half round wrench and just held the bit with my hand and it was very tiring. This thing has a very interesting design where the bit extends to the back of the ratchet, similar to the crescent wrench method. , actually adds no depth to the descriptor. It's slightly thicker than a small wrench, but its width is in front of the back of the bit, not behind. So if the bit fits in the space available, a ratcheting bit will likely fit as well. . And you have the added benefit of being able to normalize conditions instead of having to reset the wrench about every 1/8 turn. You have very little space to turn the knob, you can get the job done. And the price is right.
