Review on πŸš€ WallySense by Matt Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Update Electronics: Computers and Accessories

I originally rated this system very negatively (see below) and only gave it one star. I was then contacted by the support staff at SNUPI Technologies, makers of WallyHome. They helped me solve my problem and even sent me a new unit to rule out a problem with their equipment. After a lot of trial and error and lots of communication with the folks at SNUPI, I was able to trace the problem back to my TRENDnet Powerline NICs that I use at home. These TRENDnet adapters have received good reviews but are not compatible with the WallyHome system on at least two models I have tested. With the help of people from SNUPI I switched to TP-LINK powerline adapter, after that everything worked fine. For this reason, I am happy to rate Wally with 5 stars now. Not only does the system live up to its description and meet all my expectations, the customer support is simply outstanding. The best I've ever experienced. Great people, great product. First review: I had the same problem as other 2 and 1 star reviewers. Touch connectivity is spotty at best. The signal strength comes and goes even when the sensor is close to the main unit. Troubleshooting with the suggested procedures is difficult and does not provide definitive answers. The website doesn't even send alerts when the connection to the sensor is lost. After a day of trying to get the system to work reliably (testing all six sensors, trying a few spots for both the sensors and the main unit), I gave up in frustration. I plan to return the device for a refund. What good is an alarm system if it is unreliable and cannot be relied on to work as advertised?
