I used a 50Amp engine start button mainly because I want someone to push it when they break in and have a pleasant surprise and warn me. I used 10 gauge wire connected to a 20 amp switch, routed through a grommet into the cab and ran 10 gauge wire to the horn and used a waterproof shrink sleeve. I also used a 10 gauge ground wire which I grounded to the frame. I believe that using a cheap cable that is too small will result in underperformance. I replaced the fasteners with stainless steel and used lock nuts and coated the tube and pump with several coats of clear coat to prevent rust.
