Review on AOC U2790VQ – 4K Frameless DisplayPort Monitor with Tilt Adjustment, Wall Mount, Blue Light Filter by Scott Byrd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good 4K at a good price

The display is bright and clear. I don't see any dead/stuck pixels. The included stand is flimsy: you don't have to shake the table hard to get the screen to rock back and forth. The screen has VESA mounting holes, but the stand uses an eyelet and snap-on mount, can only be mounted in landscape orientation, and only offers tilt adjustment. Be prepared to search for the best mounting solution. "Bezelless" can be explained by the fact that there is practically no plastic frame on three sides of the screen (the bottom edge is much wider). The display panel itself has a few millimeters of black border around the active area, so two of these side by side create more dead space in the center than you might expect. I don't play this game so I can't comment on it. about how it will work. This is great for office work. DisplayPort seems particularly picky about cables, dimming the display if it loses sync. The included DP-to-DP cable will probably work, but if you need a miniDP-to-DP cable (my graphics card only has miniDP connectors), be sure to get one rated for 4K@60Hz is designed. I don't use the HDMI connector, but I assume the same applies to HDMI cables. No built-in speakers or USB hub. Understandable at this price point and most people probably wouldn't use them anyway. Not enough hours to comment on durability but no issues so far.
