I bought this stand because it says right on the box that the stand is for use with the compact table saw I just bought (DWE7485). Except it's not true. The screw holes don't line up and the two screws don't even fit in the holes in the saw. I contacted DeWalt and they sent me detailed instructions (see below) on how to find a solution. Had I known I would have to build my own platform I would never have bought a stand from them. Follow these steps: Step 1: Cut a piece of 3/4" thick plywood 2" longer and 2" wider than the base of the saw. The plywood should be 23-1/2" in length and 26- Do not exceed 1/4" in width. WARNING: If your saw requires a piece of plywood larger than 23 1/2" x 26 1/4" the saw cannot be used on this stand. Mark "front" on one side of the plywood as a reference point for attaching the bracket and saw Step 2: Locate the M8 bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts that came with the stand, you will use these to fasten the plywood to the mounting brackets. Drill four 5/16" holes in the plywood to align with the foremost and rearmost slots in the mounting brackets. It is important to ensure the locations of these holes are positioned so that the heads of the M8 bolts not in with the base of the saw conflict. When you attach the saw to the plywood. Do not use the small groove of the mounting bracket above the release lever for this type of mounting. Attach the brackets to the plywood, making sure the front of the brackets is facing the side of the board you marked on the front. the measurements you took of the saw base. These holes should allow you to securely tighten the saw base screws without interfering with the stand mounting brackets. NOTE: You will need to purchase four screws to attach the saw to the plywood. These screws are the diameters of the holes in the saw base. The length of the bolt should be determined by the thickness of the saw base plus the thickness of the plywood, with additional length required for the use of a washer and locknut to securely attach the saw base to the plywood.
