I bought this to replace the original JD 770 starter. The OEM starter costs $450. This one costs $92. The original is very difficult to remove due to the flange on the back, which does not allow the use of a socket. Luckily there is no such flange on this aftermarket and the integrity of the assembly is not compromised. Very easy to install. I also find that it has a stronger initial crank than the original. I am very satisfied so far. If it now lasts 28 years like the original.
