3 sizes to fit all but not 100% splash proof

This is a great splatter guard set that will cover almost any pot or pan you are likely to use in your kitchen. It is mostly made of stainless steel with the typical fine mesh and silicone plastic handles for insulation. Compared to some of the cheaper options, like the ones they replaced, they offer a much sturdier construction with the added bonus of wire frames that allow the feet to rest on your stovetop or counter while holding the mesh up. To be clear, they do NOT prevent all of the oil from going through the wire mesh. For example, if you have chopped veggies that have been washed and still have some water or moisture in them, the oil will splatter on contact as you would expect if your oil is hot enough. But even with the guards in place, some oil will run through them in the first few seconds of heavy splashing, but that's nothing compared to not using those guards. Cleaning splash guards can be a chore when they're particularly dirty, but they're no better or worse than others I've used. If residual oil builds up on the screen over time, this can attract more oil, but in some cases can actually help reduce splatter by covering the holes. There are many other uses for these guards, but I mostly use them when frying. The wire frame that contains the legs gives them a bit more rigidity, but be careful when stacking them for storage as the support legs can nick or dent the wire mesh of other fences if too much pressure is applied. Overall, for the price, this is a well made splatter guard set that is a must have in your kitchen.
