I have fitted roof racks before so this is not my first experience. First, you must purchase a separate tool to remove the covers from your vehicle's existing side rails to gain access to the grooves that they slide into. Also, most of the time, the instructions are just a list of what's included, as they don't really provide instructions on how to actually assemble the product. You are basically on your own there. My crate was missing the rubber stoppers that are supposed to hold the side rails in place. One of the cross members was VERY difficult to get into the grooves. The grooves that the screws go into on the other crossbar were crooked, so I had to saw off one of the pieces. The final product works as advertised, it just requires MUCH more effort than expected.
