Review on 6 Inch Tungsten Carbide Scriber Engraving Pen With Magnet For Aluminum Etching, Woodworking & Industrial Tools by Melvin Boss

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It probably wasn't the best fit for my needs, but here's my honest review of the 6 Inch Tungsten Carbide Scriber Engraving Pen With Magnet.

The Good: The magnet on the end of the pen was a really helpful feature - it kept the pen from rolling off my work surface and made it easy to store. The pen itself also felt sturdy and well-made. The Bad: Unfortunately, I found the carbide tip to be too hard and abrasive for my liking. It left marks on my aluminum surfaces that were difficult to remove, and I didn't trust myself to use it on more delicate materials like wood. The Verdict: If you're looking for a pen with a strong, long-lasting tip for etching tougher materials, this one might be a good choice. However, if you're like me and prefer a more versatile tool that can handle a variety of surfaces without leaving scratches, you might want to look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Convenient Size: At just six inches, this tungsten carbide scriber pen is portable and easy to handle, perfect for intricate and detailed engraving work
Cons
  • It can be challenging to clean the carbide tip thoroughly, which can lead to eventual wear and tear, or damage to the tool
